Water Panthers, Bears, and Thunderbirds introduces young readers to effigy mound sites in five southern Wisconsin counties. Suggested activities encourage students to graph, compare, contrast, and analyze the ways these mound groups vary from county to county.
AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
Bobbie Malone worked as the Director of the Office of School Services at the Wisconsin Historical Society until 2011. Bobbie has authored and edited many student books and teachers guides on Wisconsin history for the state's classrooms. Amy Rosebrough works in the Office of the State Archaeologist at the Wisconsin Historical Society and is pursuing her dissertation on Effigy Mound cultures.
