In Flipping the Classroom, Robyn Brinks Lockwood explains the educational phenomenon of flipped classrooms and dispels some of the common myths about flipping (e.g., “Flipped classrooms don’t use textbooks” and “Flipping requires me to make videos of myself”). The book defines flipping and answers questions teachers may have about the role of textbooks, technology, and class time. Lockwood also discusses the benefits of flipping for teachers and students and talks about lessons she’s learned from her experience flipping her own classes. In addition, she suggests ways ESL/EFL teachers may want to implement flipping in their classrooms. 

Flor's Journey to Independence begins as Flor and her four-year-old daughter, Betina, are unexpectedly abandoned by Flor's husband, Ricardo. Flor is suddenly faced with paying the bills and caring for Betina on her own, as she also struggles with limited English skills. Still, Flor's determination gets her through the hard times, and once she enrolls in an English class for adults and begins working, she finds that her new life brings her new friends and opportunities.

The Four Point series is designed for English language learners whose primary goal is to succeed in an academic setting.The series covers the four academic skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking while providing reinforcement and systematic recycling of key vocabulary and further exposure to grammar issues. In order to participate in academic settings, English learners need focused activities to develop and then maintain their use of vocabulary and grammar. Each book in the series focuses heavily on vocabulary in particular, highlighting between 125-150 key vocabulary items including individual words, compound words, phrasal verbs, short phrases, idioms, metaphors, collocations, and longer set lexical phrases.
