ABOUT THIS BOOK
ABOUT THIS BOOK
In this volume, Mr. Walworth makes it evident that much remains to be done if we are to perform our part in bringing about that emotional disarmament which, in the case of every people, constitutes an essential condition of international understanding. In a lively and readable narrative he contrasts extremes in the manner in which each of our wars is treated in the leading secondary school histories of our own and the enemy country. The fact that he confines his attention to books that are in general use today, omitting those that have done their damage in the past, gives the work added importance as a basis for practical remedial action. There is an illuminating introduction by Professor Arthur M. Schlesinger of Harvard University.
