Elizabeth Wellington is an Emmy Award-winning culture, lifestyle columnist and essayist for the Philadelphia Inquirer since 2002, covering runways and red carpets in New York, Los Angeles, and Paris as well as presidential inaugurations. Today, she covers a broad range of topics including race, gender, the arts, pop-culture, and fashion. In 2024, she won first place in the National Association of Black Journalists' 2024 Salute to Excellence in feature writing. She's a winner of several awards from the Keystone Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. She earned her graduate degree in journalism from New York University and is originally from Queens, New York.
